Large-scale Moscow's Assaults Eliminate Electricity Across Kyiv

Energy infrastructure targeted in the region
Ukraine's energy systems have faced escalating attacks in the past few days

Overnight, Moscow's missile and drone strikes have caused electricity outages in multiple districts of Ukraine's capital, the Ukrainian capital.

Nine people were hurt while local people in the city's east were plunged into darkness and faced interruptions to water systems, per reports from municipal leaders.

At the same time, a seven-year-old child was killed in a separate assault in the southeastern region in the country's south-east, according to local officials.

Russian forces has intensified strikes on energy facilities over the last fortnight, while Ukrainian leadership has called for "real steps" from international partners to increase pressure on Moscow.

"The necessity is not superficial actions but decisive action - from the America, Europe and the Group of Seven - in supplying air defence systems and enforcing penalties," was stated in a public message.

Officials stated that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and over thirty missiles targeted Ukraine's energy infrastructure, describing such assaults as "premeditated" and against "essential services" as the weather cools.

Government representatives said Russia was "inflicting a massive strike" and maintenance teams were working to fix the damage.

A wave of strikes hit power facilities and civilian homes in Kyiv.

Five out of the nine people injured in the attacks on the city have been taken to hospital, according to city authorities.

Area administrators said the city experienced significant strikes during nighttime hours. A seven-year-old child lost their life and multiple civilians were injured.

The strikes come after nights of air raids in the area, portions of which remain under the control of Moscow's military.

The whole nation is in a state of readiness for sophisticated projectile assaults, which are more difficult to spot.

Authorities told the media that Russia was purposely seeking to demolish the electrical infrastructure, with strikes already affecting energy systems.

Authorities confirmed utility staff and officials were anticipating additional strikes.
